Prettys Solicitors advise Perrywood Limited on the acquisition of Buckhatch Nursery & Garden Centre located near Chelmsford

Perrywood Limited is an award-winning independent, family-owned garden centre and nursery run by two generations of the Bourne Family in Essex.  Alan Bourne is Director and Plant Buyer. Karin Bourne has retired from day-to-day operations. Their three children – Hannah Powell (Communications & HR Director), Simon Bourne (Retail Director), and Tristan Bourne (Operations Director) – make up the rest of the Board. Their vision is to inspire people to have more plants in their lives and to offer memorable garden centre experiences to their customers.

Partner Sarah Lewis led this transaction which spanned the complete range of commercial services. Sarah was supported by Rebecca Cleal and Paul Munnings (Real Estate), and Sheilah Cummins (Employment).

The Outcome

The completion of this transaction takes Perrywood’s total number of garden centres and nurseries to 3, with a combined turnover of over £18m.
