Legal 500 [UK 2026]
Work Synopsis
Ellie qualified into the Commercial Dispute Resolution team in March 2024, having been with the firm since 2019. Her route to qualification reflects both commitment and breadth, having worked full time alongside her studies between 2019 and 2023, gaining hands‑on experience across commercial property, employment, and commercial disputes before completing her training.
This early exposure to a wide range of legal disciplines has shaped Ellie’s well‑rounded, commercially aware approach. She draws particularly on her three years in commercial property, applying that knowledge to a growing practice in property litigation. She advises on landlord and tenant disputes, dilapidations, break clauses, 1954 Act terminations and renewals, boundary issues, and adverse possession. Ellie is also a member of the Property Litigation Association.
In 2025, Ellie undertook a three-month secondment with a longstanding client, where she expanded her expertise into probate matters and debt recovery. This experience now underpins her developing practice in contentious probate, adding further depth to the support she provides to clients facing complex and sensitive disputes.
Ellie works closely with partners Graham Mead and Peter Blake, contributing to large‑scale matters while managing her own caseload with diligence, clarity, and a client focused mindset.
Ellie advises on a broad range of commercial and property‑related disputes, with experience in:
- Property litigation – landlord and tenant disputes, dilapidations, break clauses, 1954 Act renewals and terminations, boundary disputes, and adverse possession.
- Commercial dispute resolution – supporting senior colleagues on complex, high‑value matters while progressing her own varied caseload.
- Contentious probate – applying experience gained during a 2025 client secondment to assist with disputes involving estates, wills, and inheritance issues.
Personal Synopsis
Outside her legal work, Ellie enjoys long countryside walks and a wholesome trip to the pub. Evenings at home with her husband by the fire offer a welcome balance to a busy schedule, while never turning down time spent sharing cocktails with friends. This blend of professional focus and appreciation for life’s quieter and more social moments shapes the grounded, approachable style she brings to the firm.
