Back in May, Prettys took part in the Soma Leo Academy’s ‘Row-a-Fun’, organised by Pound Gates and supported by the Most Active County, to raise funds for the Soma Leo Foundation. This Ipswich-based charity supports the Soma Leo Academy, a community school in Nyiera, Western Kenya, through providing funds that are primarily needed to meet its ongoing running costs.

The aim of the ‘Row-a-Fun’ challenge was for staff to row as far as they could on a rowing machine during the month of May. In addition to the overall challenge, Pound Gates (the organisers) also set lunchtime challenges each week for participating companies to gain some extra metres. One lunchtime challenge was for the best fancy dress. Not shy to don the fancy dress, a team from Prettys, also known as “the Teletubbies”, came joint first in the fancy dress competition.

Collectively the nine participating teams rowed over 4,000km in the month of May.
