Prettys Solicitors has once again been ranked as a leading firm across both commercial and personal law services in East Anglia. The firm has also been recognised as going the extra mile for clients, with an accolade for client satisfaction.
Each year The Legal 500 UK analyses the capabilities of law firms with a comprehensive research programme to give an up-to-date summary of the UK legal market. The rankings are based on a series of criteria and the 2025 edition also highlights law firms that have scored highly and consistently in both client service and client experience.
Matthew Cole, Head of Commercial Services comments: “We continue to be ranked as a leading firm in East Anglia across all our commercial services, that is corporate and commercial, employment, commercial litigation, commercial property and construction. Our commercial lawyers work closely together and so the fact that each team continues to be ranked is particularly pleasing. The client feedback gives us a good indication that clients are benefiting from the way we deliver our services. I am particularly pleased that Vanessa Bell, Partner in our employment team has been recognised as a Next Generation Partner. Legal 500 UK has also released some great feedback on some of our younger lawyers too, notably Siân Llewelyn (employment), and Ellie Claffey. Ellie qualified into our commercial litigation team in 2023 and is already making a great impression on clients as ‘very confident, very professional and great client contact.’ I am proud of them all.”
Georgie Hall, Head of Personal Law comments: “I am delighted that across our Personal Law teams our lawyers’ attention to detail and compassion with clients is highlighted alongside the teams’ breadth of experience and expertise. The recognition afforded to the Family team is well deserved with Victoria Mayhew also being featured as a Leading Associate. Disputes over wills and trusts has led to a significant upturn in contentious work and Graham Mead, Partner, and the Estates team are ranked as Tier 3 for the first time in this area. The Legal 500 UK acknowledge Graham as ‘a very knowledgeable lawyer. He displays exactly the right level of instruction and advice without leaving the client behind’. Louise Plant’s (Personal Injury) recognition as a Leading Associate is both warranted and well earned. They all deserve the praise given and notably across the whole of Personal Law”.
Ian Waine, Senior Partner sums up the results for Prettys: “It’s great to see that when it comes to client satisfaction we can compete with the larger, often national firms and I am delighted that the hard work we continue to put in is recognised in the Legal 500 UK. I am grateful to our clients for their feedback and continued support for the firm.”
