Prettys is pleased to announce its role in advising on the recent sale of Karzees Limited to a leading East Anglian construction sub-contractor.
Karzees Limited, a well-regarded, family-owned business established in 2007, which is renowned for its personal and reliable customer service, has grown over the years to become a leader throughout Suffolk and East Anglia in the hire of portable toilets, welfare units and storage containers to the construction sector, festivals, and other major events.
Prettys acted for Bill and Claire Nay in connection with the transaction, supporting them throughout the sale process, and enabling them to retire from the business while leaving the future of the business in safe and capable hands. The transaction was led by Dan Billson from Prettys’ Corporate Services team, who worked alongside Zoe Zhang (Corporate), Rebecca Cleal (Commercial Property), Sheilah Cummins (Employment), and Maria Spencer (Data Protection) to provide a joined-up approach. The team worked collaboratively alongside Simon Martin at Ensors, as trusted advisers to Bill and Claire.
Bill and Claire Nay said:
“We’re very pleased to have secured the long term future for Karzees with a new owner who is keen to maintain the company’s existing ethos and reputation. We would like to thank Simon (Ensors), Dan (Prettys), Zoe (Prettys) and the supporting team at Prettys for being by our side every step of the way. Their clear advice, regular updates, and constant availability to discuss technical and complex matters throughout the transaction made a huge difference. We would thoroughly recommend them to other business owners thinking about a sale.”
Dan Billson, Partner at Prettys, commented:
“I have developed a strong working relationship with Bill and Claire in the years that I have worked with them, and it’s been a privilege to support them through this significant milestone. It was also great to have the opportunity to work alongside Simon (Ensors) again, and I’m proud to have been able to play a part in helping Bill and Claire achieve their retirement ambition whilst leaving Karzees in the hands of a buyer they trust.”
Simon Martin, Partner at Ensors, said of the sale:
“I was delighted when Bill and Claire approached me to support with the sale of their company. Having worked with Karzees for many years, Ensors has developed a deep understanding of their goals and aspirations for the business. I am thrilled with the positive outcome we have helped them to achieve, which ensures a bright future for all parties involved. I wish Bill, Claire, and their new shareholders all the best in their future ventures.”
