Prettys hosted another two successful Business Academy seminars at Wherstead Park and Essex County Cricket Ground on the subject of Social Enterprise, SMEs, and ‘Social impact for fun and profit.’
Our keynote speaker Digby Chacksfield, CEO of the Eastern Enterprise Hub, shared his insight on what businesses can learn from the social enterprise sector and social entrepreneurs. In particular Digby explained how a focus on social impact and community benefit can actually help to make SMEs more successful.
Company lawyer Jon Bloor, a partner and a member of Prettys’ Corporate & Insolvency business solicitor team, also provided insights into a variety of topics including the legal issues surrounding CSR and employee business ownership.
Both events were well attended and the delegates’ feedback confirmed they found the event informative and interesting. Thank you to all who came along. Thank you Digby!
The next Business Academy seminars will be held in Ipswich, Suffolk (10 November) and Chelmsford (12 November), if you are interested in joining our Business Academy please contact email@example.com.
