For Business

Data Protection and Information Security

Keeping data safe, and using it properly is now a major concern for all organisations.

Prettys’ team of specialists, led by partner Matthew Cole, is there to help you navigate your way through this rapidly developing area of the law.

We have a number of packages tailored to helping organisations comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and then remain compliant.

However, our expertise goes beyond pure compliance.  We can help you protect your confidential information; help you respond to a freedom of information request; and manage the consequences of a data breach.  We work closely with related technical experts, such as forensic IT providers, and information security specialists.  We have particular expertise advising on international data transfers and dealing with special categories of personal data.

GDPR Staff Training Presentation

We have prepared a short PowerPoint training session entitled "GDPR and you" which is now available for purchase; find out more here.

GDPR Workshops

We are delighted to invite you to our new GDPR workshops to provide you with training on the GDPR.  Register here. These events will be an all-day training seminar hosted at Prettys' Ipswich office.

"It was an excellent event that provided me the information I needed, in a way I could understand and apply it to my business."

"It helped address our queries and concerns about GDPR and will enable us to put in place a policy for GDPR within our Company."
