Before either party incurs any legal costs for your lease, sale or purchase, it is best to negotiate and agree the main terms of your transaction (these are the ‘Heads of Terms’).  They do not need to be overly detailed and should not be legally binding.

Not only will the Heads of Terms serve as a useful tool to help all parties identify the main issues early on, but it will help structure the transaction and assist the solicitors appointed further down the line, which in turn will speed up the drafting of the documentation (saving you time and money).

If you need any assistance at this stage, or have heads of terms ready for your transaction, our Commercial Property team will be pleased to help.
